Telemundo Taps Head of News and Alternative Content
Alina Falcon will oversee all Telemundo news properties.
Mexico City -- NBCUniversal's Spanish-language network Telemundo has named media veteran Alina Falcon senior executive vice president of news and alternative programming.
A former president of the news division at rival broadcaster Univision, in her new position Falcon will have strategic and operational oversight over all Telemundo news properties, including both domestic and international bureaus. She will report to Emilio Romano, president of Telemundo Media.
As for the newly created alternative and reality programming post, Falcon will look after non-scripted productions and various entertainment specials, such as the Billboard Latin Music Awards and Miss Universe.
