Terry Baker Named Production Executive at Current TV
He will help shape the network's focus as a news analysis and political commentary network.
Terry Baker has been tapped executive vice president of production for Current TV and will report to president David Bohrman.
Baker will shape Current's focus as a news analysis and political commentary network, building live production capabilities and facilities.
“In the past, Current’s programming was almost entirely pre-recorded, up until Countdown launched. Terry is going to very quickly help us scale Current up to be in the live programming game,” said Bohrman. “Terry and I were a great team when we built NewsNight with Aaron Brown at CNN, and we share much of the same broadcasting DNA.”
Prior to joining Current, he was an executive producer for primetime and weekend programming at Fox Business Network, where he created, developed and launched seven new shows. He has also worked at CNBC as an EP where he developed and launched cross-platform programming initiatives, including Conversations With Michael Eisner and a Maria Bartiromo interview series.
Baker was also a senior executive producer at 360 With Anderson Cooper and a senior producer for Newsnight With Aaron Brown.
