Three execs join Film Department
EmptyNEW YORK -- Mark Gill and Neil Sacker's indie production outfit Film Department announced a trio of new hires, naming Dan Stutz as executive vp business and legal affairs, Sara Ebrahimi as vp business and legal affairs and Kristen Figeroid as vp international sales.
Stutz arrives at the film financing, production and international sales company after a five-year run as senior vp business and legal affairs at Yari Film Group. There he worked on such features as "Crash," "The Illusionist" and "The Matador." Before YFG, he spent four years as an associate at Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman, Grodin & Evall in Beverly Hills and a law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Dickran Tevrizian in Los Angeles.
Ebrahimi previously spent six years at UTA, where she served in various roles including director of legal affairs. She also helped negotiate deals for UTA's Independent Film Sales and Packaging Group. She reports directly to Stutz.
Figeroid was previously vp international distribution at Media 8 Entertainment, helping with the international sales of such films as "The Upside of Anger" and "Monster." Prior to this, she was director of international sales for Mainline Releasing and Lightning Entertainment, as well as working at Royal Oaks Entertainment and Franchise Pictures. She reports to executive vp international Elizabeth Kim.
The trio will be based in Film Department's West Hollywood offices.
