SoapNet on Monday announced three new series, including a relationship-themed reality show featuring Greg Behrendt and a scripted drama about a thirtysomething woman trying to figure out her life.

"Greg Behrendt's Wake-Up Call," from Avalon Television, will feature Behrendt — who co-wrote the book "He's Just Not That Into You" — addressing one couple's major issues each week. The series will air at 11 p.m. Thursdays beginning Jan. 8.

Another new series, "Being Erica," follows the life of Erica Strange (Erin Karpluk), a single woman who can't understand why her life is heading nowhere. She gets help from Dr. Tom (Michael Riley), who enables her to go back in time and relive an event. The series, produced by Temple Street and the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., has been picked up for 13 episodes and bows in the spring.

The third series, a docusoap tentatively titled "Southern Belles," follows five single Southern women in their 20s and 30s. "Belles," from Endemol USA and ABC Media Prods., is in production in Louisville, Ky., on 10 one-hour episodes for a 2009 bow. (partialdiff)
