Threesome invited to Hallmark's 'Dance'

John Schneider, Roma Downey, Brooke Nevin join cast

John Schneider, Roma Downey and Brooke Nevin have been tapped to star in "Wedding Dance," a Hallmark Channel original movie airing next year.

The telefilm, which goes into production this month in Vancouver, centers on a young bride-to-be (Nevin) who is shocked when the father (Schneider) she never knew shows up alive and holding the deed to her family's dance studio, which she is hoping to sell in order to pursue her dream of becoming a therapist. She turns to her attorney (Downey) for help.

This marks the third Hallmark Channel movie for Schneider, following 2007's "You've Got a Friend" and May's "Shark Swarm." It's the first for Nevin ("The 4400") and Downey, though the latter is a familiar face to viewers of Hallmark Channel, which airs reruns of her series "Touched by an Angel."

"Wedding Dance" will be directed by Mark Jean ("7th Heaven") from a story by Jean Abounader and J.B. White ("The 12 Days of Christmas Eve") and teleplay by White.

The movie, from Annuit Coeptis Development and Johnson Production Group, is exec produced by Jean Abounader and Tim Johnson and produced by Christian Bruyere and Kirk Shaw.

Schneider, repped by the Kohner Agency and manager Steven Jensen, also just signed on for a multiepisode arc on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money."
