Tia Mowry to Write 'Whole New You' Cookbook (Exclusive)

The actress will share recipes and advice from the anti-inflammatory diet she adopted to recover from endometriosis and chronic migraines.

Actress Tia Mowry has signed a deal for her first cookbook with Random House imprint Ballantine. Whole New You features the anti-inflammatory whole food diet that helped her recover from endometriosis and chronic migraines. The cookbook also uncovers tasty, accessible recipes, easy pantry switches and mini cleanses to keep the body feeling healthy. 

She will also host the Cooking Channel's upcoming series Tia Mowry at Home, which premieres on April 29.

This is Mowry's third book. In 2013, she wrote the pregnancy focused, Oh, Baby!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another. On April 21, HarperCollins will release Twintuition: Double Vision, co-written with her twin sister Tamera Mowry, the first in a four-book children's series about twins who can see things before they happen. 

Cookbooks remain a popular genre for celebrity authors. Recent examples include Gwyneth Paltrow's My Father’s Daughter, Eva Longoria's Eva’s Kitchen and Trisha Yearwood's Trisha's Table.  

Mowry started her acting career on the ABC/WB series Sister Sister and continues to pursue acting as the star and producer of Nickelodeon's Instant Mom. Other series credits include The CW/BET's The Game and the Style Network’s docuseries Tia and Tamera.

She recently appeared in Fox Searchlight's romantic comedy Baggage Claim.
