Woods announced last week he would be competing in the tournament in Augusta, Ga.

Tiger Woods channeled his inner Happy Gilmore after tee shot No. 15 at the Masters on Thursday, calling himself a "dumbass" on live TV.

Woods announced last week he would be competing in the tournament in Augusta, Ga.

"I'm playing in the Masters," he said on his website. "It's obviously very important to me, and I want to be there."

"I've worked a lot on my game, and I'm looking forward to competing," he continued. "I'm excited to get to Augusta, and I appreciate everyone's support."

Woods, a four-times Masters champion, made his debut at the tournament Thursday. He missed last year's tournament after undergoing back surgery and since has struggled with his return to competitive golf, missing the cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open after shooting a career-worst 82 in the second round and pulling out of The Farmers Insurance Open because of a back problem.
