Tim Burton casts favorites for 'Frankenweenie'

Stars include 'Beetlejuice's' Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara

Tim Burton is casting a familiar crew for his stop-motion "Frankenweenie" remake.

Voicing characters: Winona Ryder, who starred in his classic's Edward Scissorhands and Bettlejuice; Martin Landau, who took home an Oscar for his role of Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood; Mars Attacks! star Martin Short and Beetlejuice and A Nightmare Before Christmas' Catherine O'Hara, according to the UK Press Associated and Deadline.

"Frankenweenie" is about a man who brings his dog back to life after it is struck by a car. It is scheduled for release in March 2012, and will be produced by Disney, Tim Burton Animation Co. and Tim Burton Productions.

Burton is also working on the big-screen adaption of the TV show Dark Shadows with frequent partner Johnny Depp, and the Monsterpocalypse movie.
