Tim Burton Suffers "Minor Injury" During U.K. Shoot (Report)

The director was shooting 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiars,' starring Eva Green and Samuel L. Jackson.

Tim Burton found himself in hospital earlier this week after an accident off-set during the shoot for his upcoming film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiars.

The director was filming in Blackpool, a seaside town in the north of England, when the accident happened, although his publicist confirmed to the Metro newspaper that the incident wasn’t anything major. "Tim attended hospital with a minor injury, no breakages," she said.

The 20th Century Fox title, based on the YA novel by Ransom Riggs, tells the story of a teenage boy who is transported to an island where he must help protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures out to destroy them.

Due out in 2016, it stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Judi Dench and Chris O’Dowd.
