Tina Fey-Amy Poehler Comedy 'The Nest' Gets Release Date
"Pitch Perfect" director Jason Moore is helming the Universal film about sisters who throw a rager in their childhood home.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be back on the big screen together just in time for Christmas 2015.
Universal has dated comedy The Nest for Dec. 18, 2015.
Pitch Perfect helmer Jason Moore will direct the film, which follows two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. They decide to throw one final rager in their childhood home, which turns into the cathartic experience that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.
Fey is producing the film with Jay Roach, and Poehler executive produces from a script by Paula Pell (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock).
Fey and Poehler, longtime friends and colleagues, have reunited to host the Golden Globes for the past two years, and will return to host for a third year. They previously worked together on Saturday Night Live, where they were co-anchors of Weekend Update.
The date puts the comedy up against Disney and LucasFilm's much-hyped Star Wars: Episode VII, and Sony's Inferno.
