'Toddlers & Tiaras' Star Nabs Darla Role in 'Little Rascals' Movie (Exclusive)
Eden Wood joins Doris Roberts, Greg Germann, and Lex Medlin in the film, being made by Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing back The Little Rascals, the adventures of misfit kids who first took the world by storm in the 1920s and ‘30s with black and white shorts produced by Hal Roach.
Doris Roberts, Greg Germann, and Lex Medlin are among the adult stars that have been cast in the still-untitled straight to home feature which starts shooting this week.
And while the roles of scheming rascal Spanky, the dreamer Alfalfa and the enigmatic Buckwheat have yet to be cast or are going to unknowns, the part of Darla, the cute little girl who is the object of Alfalfa’s eye has gone to Eden Wood.

Wood was the star of Toddlers & Tiaras, TLC’s show about beauty pageant queens. Wood then went on to star in her own spin-off, Eden’s World, which ran on Logo and followed her as she tried to make it big in show business in New York.
Looks like she’s on the right track, with the movie being her first dramatic role.
Roberts is playing a bakery-running grandma who sees the kids as her children.
German is a rich guy who schemes to take over the bakery so he can build a putting green behind his mega-mansion.
Medlin will be a police officer with a crush on the kids’ teacher, Miss Crabtree.

Alex Zamm, who directed Inspector Gadget 2 and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, is helming the movie. Zamm also wrote it with partner Billy Robertson. Mike Elliot is producing.
Roberts, best known for Everybody Loves Raymond, was seen in Madea’s Witness Protection. She is repped by WME and Del, Shaw.
Ally McBeal star Germann, repped by Innovative and the Collective, next appears in Here Comes the Boom with Kevin James.
Medlin was one of the stars of USA’S Drop Dead Diva and is repped by Pop Art Management and Progressive Artists Agency.
