Tony Awards 2015: 'Fun Home' Cast Performs "Ring of Keys" (Video)

Sydney Lucas, who portrays the youngest iteration of lead character Alison Bechdel, performed the sexuality-discovering number "Ring of Keys" from the Sam Gold-directed production, which nabbed 12 nominations.

The dysfunctional family took center stage at the 2015 Tony Awards on Sunday thanks to a performance from Fun Home.

Sydney Lucas, who portrays the youngest iteration of lead character Alison Bechdel, performed the sexuality-discovering number "Ring of Keys" from the Sam Gold-directed production, which nabbed 12 nominations.

Fellow nominees Michael Cerveris and Beth Malone also read bits of a scene from the show about coming out, coming of age and coming to grips with the past. It is the first Broadway show centering on a lesbian protagonist, and was introduced by Joel Grey and Jennifer Grey — the former of whom was moved to pen an essay supporting the show due to its narrative of a longtime closeted father.

After the performance, Kristin Chenoweth came to the stage dressed in an E.T. costume, mistaking the Fun Home performance for E.T.'s signature line, "Phone home."

Hosted by Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, the Broadway-lauding awards show also included a 10th-anniversary celebration of Jersey Boys as well as performances by the casts of Gigi, Finding Neverland, The King and I, Something Rotten!, The Visit, It Shoulda Been You, An American in Paris and On the Town.

The broadcast — presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing — aired live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
