Tonys: Darren Criss to Host First-Ever Red-Carpet Live Stream

The 'Hedwig' lead will co-host the June 7 special with two-time Tony nominee Laura Osnes.

The 2015 Tony Awards will have its first-ever red-carpet live stream.

The Broadway-lauding awards ceremony announced Friday that the LIVE! From the Red Carpet special will be hosted by Glee and Hedwig star Darren Criss and two-time Tony nominee Laura Osnes. George Takei, Randi Zuckerberg, Blake Ross and Emilio Sosa will also serve as correspondents.

The special will stream from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET on TonyAwards.com, CBS.com, Playbill.com and TimeOut.com. It will also be simulcast in New York City's Times Square via Clear Channel’s SpectacolorHD screens.

The awards show will feature performances by Vanessa Hudgens, Matthew Morrison, Kelli O'Hara, Ken Watanabe, Kelsey Grammer, Brian D’Arcy James, Christian Borle, Tyne Daly, Chita Rivera and more. Bryan Cranston, Neil Patrick Harris, Jim Parsons, Rose Byrne, Anna Chlumsky and Larry David are among the presenters.

Hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, the 2015 Tony Awards will broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a time delay on the West Coast. They are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
