Toronto 2012: The Hollywood Reporter Launching Exclusive Video Lounge
The Hollywood Reporter is launching a video lounge at the Toronto International Film Festival that will serve as a VIP hub, hosting the festival's talent, filmmakers and cinematographers for exclusive interviews with THR's top editors.
The THR TIFF Video Lounge, presented by Canon U.S.A., will be located at Toronto hot spot Brassaii. Confirmed interviews taking place in the lounge include Ed Burns, Christina Hendricks, Kristen Wiig and Matt Dillon.
"The THR Toronto Video Lounge will be at the heart and center of the festival, with leading talent, professionals and industry players coming in to offer their take on the festival," THR Editorial Director Janice Min said.
Canon U.S.A. and THR also will celebrate the art of cinematography at this year’s festival, with the lounge set to host a special series of interviews with key cinematographers, directors and producers about their craft. Lounge guests will also have the opportunity to explore Canon's line of Cinema EOS products, including touch-and-try demonstrations.
Additionally, the "Canon Celebrates the Art of Cinematography" event will take place Sept. 8 at Brassaii. Established and emerging industry professionals will convene to honor the work of cinematographers whose films are represented in this year’s festival.
The THR TIFF Video Lounge also will feature Stila Cosmetics, while celebrity guests and interviewees will be offered the opportunity to get touch-ups from Stila’s top makeup artists.
THR will provide comprehensive coverage of the Toronto International Film Festival, including in its Toronto Issue, which hits stands Wednesday, as well as on THR.com/Toronto, where photo galleries, video recaps, festival guides and breaking news will be featured alongside THR's insider commentary on "The Race" blog. THR's festival dailies will be available to guests of the festival and distributed at several key TIFF locations as well as the THR TIFF Video Lounge.
