Toronto: MK2 Finds Buyers for Xavier Dolan's 'Tom At The Farm'
The Canadian film, which earned the critic's prize in Venice, has been picked up by Network in the UK and MK2/Diaphana in France.
TORONTO - MK2 has unveiled a raft of international sales for Canadian director Xavier Dolan's Tom à la ferme (Tom At The Farm), which will be picked up by Network in the UK and MK2/Diaphana in France.
The Canadian film, which was adapted from a stage play by Michel Marc Bouchard and stars Dolan, Pierre-Yves Cardinal, Lise Roy and Evelyne Brochu, also was sold to ABC Cinemien in the Benelux, Sweden's Folkets Bio, Spectator in Poland, Korea's Atnine Film, Taiwan's Filmware and HBO in Latin America.
Continental also picked up the psychological thriller for the ex-Yugoslavia, while Filmcoopi took the title for Switzerland.
Entertainment One will release the film in Canada in 2014.
The latest sales come ahead of a screening for Tom At The Farm in Toronto on Tuesday after the movie bowed in Venice, where it won the FIPRESCI prize.
