'Tosh.0' To Air "Gun Nut" Segment Originally Pulled After Virginia Shooting
"Please America, no one shoot anyone until next Wednesday so I can air this stupid bit in peace. It's not even that good."
Tosh.0 will run a segment about a gun-toting neighborhood watchman that was pulled after a Virginia news reporter and cameraman were shot to death on live TV last month.
Comedian and host Daniel Tosh announced his interview with the armed, bulletproof vest-wearing Charlotte, North Carolina man will air next Tuesday.
"Let's try this again. Barring yet another unforeseen national tragedy, I'll shoot the breeze with this gun nut," Tosh said before a tease to the segment. "Please America, no one shoot anyone until next Wednesday so I can air this stupid bit in peace. It's not even that good."
The segment was originally slated to air Sept. 1, but Tosh replaced it with a different bit. He addressed the change on Twitter when asked what he was planning to do.
@danieltosh You still going to talk to the gun nut? You did say “barring an unforeseen national tragedy,” and sure enough…— Chappell Guthrie (@AchtungCloud) August 27, 2015
Tosh declined to comment to The Hollywood Reporter.
