‘Transparent’ Star Amy Landecker Signs With ICM Partners (Exclusive)
Transparent star Amy Landecker has signed with ICM Partners, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
The Chicago native plays Sarah, the oldest child of an LA clan whose patriarch (Jeffrey Tambor) makes a big, life-changing announcement. Sarah is a wife and mother who wonders if her life has become too dull. Gaby Hoffman, Jay Duplass and Judith Light round out the rest of the family in creator Jill Soloway’s upcoming dark Amazon Studios comedy, whose pilot THR’s Tim Goodman called “Amazon’s best offering,” among plenty of other positive critical buzz it generated when it was posted online in February.
Last year Landecker appeared in Enough Said, James Gandolfini’s critically acclaimed final film. She is reteaming with the romantic dramedy’s writer/director Nicole Holofcener for the FX comedy Angry MILF, which Landecker will write and star in and Holofcener will direct and executive produce.
Landecker also will appear in Paramount’s Michael Bay-produced time-travel thriller Project Almanac (previously titled Welcome to Yesterday), which has now been scheduled for a January 2015 release. She played the sultry neighbor Mrs. Samsky in Joel and Ethan Coen’s A Serious Man and one point of a love triangle with Paul Giamatti and Paul Rudd in last year's dramedy All is Bright (previously Almost Christmas), Junebug director Phil Morrison's long-awaited follow-up film. On television, she has recurred on ABC’s Revenge, FX’s Louie and NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She played Paul Reiser’s wife on his 2011 NBC comedy The Paul Reiser Show.
Landecker continues to be repped by Brillstein and attorney Amy Nickin of Frankfurt Kurnit.
