Tribeca 2015: IFC Midnight Picks Up 'Stung'
Killer wasps invade a garden party in Benni Diez's film.
IFC Midnight has acquired U.S. rights to Benni Diez’s Stung, which premiered tonight in the Midnight section of the Tribeca Film Festival. The film, written by Adam Aresty and starring Matt O’Leary, Jessica Cook, Clifton Collins Jr. and Lance Henriksen, takes place during a garden party in a remote country villa that is attacked by giant killer wasps.
The film was produced by Christian Becker and Benjamin Munz for Germany based Rat Pack Film Production with Todd Brown, Nick Spicer, Aram Tertzakian and Nate Bolotin serving as executive producers for XYZ Films.
The deal was negotiated by Sean Berney, manager of acquisitions for IFC Midnight, with Bolotin on behalf of the filmmakers.
IFC Midnight is a sister label to IFC Films and Sundance Selects, and is owned and operated by AMC Networks.
