TORONTO – True Detective creator, executive producer and writer Nic Pizzolatto is among Hollywood's TV elite headed to the Banff World Media Festival.
Pizzolatto will present a master class at the 35th edition in June in the Canadian Rockies, discussing the creative collaboration behind the recently completed first season.
The rookie season for the HBO anthology series, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, drew critical and audience acclaim.
In the first season, Pizzolatto used multiple timelines and cinematic scope to unravel the stories of two homicide detectives hunting a serial killer in Louisiana.
The Banff World Media Festival is set to run from June 8-11, 2014.
