NEW DELHI -- New Delhi-based Turner International India on Wednesday announced an agreement to offer content from its Cartoon Network via Mumbai-based mobile content supplier Mobile2Win.

Turner and Mobile2Win already have an agreement for wireless solutions for the network's bouquet of channels -- including kids channel Pogo and CNN -- to enable viewer interactivity.

The new agreement focuses on content and will see Mobile2Win create a special site for Cartoon Network and manage distribution across leading mobile services.

Content on offer includes wallpapers, animations, themes, ring tones and games for such popular Cartoon Network shows as "Tom & Jerry," "The Powerpuff Girls," "Johnny Bravo," "Scooby Doo" and "Dexter's Laboratory."

"With the exponential growth of mobile users in India, wireless activity, integrated with television, is an exciting medium for increasing viewership, viewer interactivity and ensuring that our content is available anytime and anyplace, in an interactive and easy-to-use format, on as many different platforms as possible," said Siddharth Jain, Turner International India, vp distribution and business operations.

Added Mobile2Win co-founder and country head Rajiv Hiranandani: "The age group between 10 and 20 is soon going to be one of the largest groups consuming content. With our multiple distribution points, we hope to open up this untapped market in partnership with Turner."

In September last year, Turner launched a first of its kind video-on-demand service with VSNL-Tata Indicom Broadband, offering select Cartoon Network shows for PC download.
