TV Academy Foundation Elects New Chair, Officers
The Geena Davis Institute's Madeline Di Nonno will lead the charitable arm of the academy.
The Television Academy Foundation has elected a new chair: Madeline Di Nonno. The TV veteran and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media will succeed exiting chair Robert Cook at the end of his two-year term.
"I am honored and privileged to serve as chair and excited to guide the foundation as we embark on an extremely dynamic period in television history," Di Nonno said in a statement. "I look forward to influencing our collective efforts to shape and significantly impact the next generation of television professionals."
Under Di Nonno are newly elected officers, including vice-chair Margaret Loesch, treasurer Marc Graboff and secretary Nelson Davis. Thomas Sarnoff will return as chair emeritus.
The incoming officers will be tasked with engaging and educating the next generation of television professionals through the 57-year-old foundation's current programming and work to build a significant endowment to provide growth to its ongoing New Destination Campaign.
