TV Cameraman Dies From Copter Crash Injuries

Canadian Greg Jacobsen, 33, died Monday due to injuries sustained during an April 30 helicopter shoot for G4's Campus PD series from indie producer Cineflix Productions.

TORONTO – Greg Jacobsen, a Canadian TV cameraman caught up in an April 30 helicopter crash during an aerial video shoot for G4’s Campus PD series, has died from his injuries.

"We are deeply saddened by this news. Our heartfelt condolences are with Greg’s family and friends and the Cineflix staff who worked with him," Simon Lloyd, CEO of programming for series producer Cineflix Productions, told realscreen magazine on Thursday.

The helicopter came down near the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus, with four passengers on board, including the pilot.

The Indiana Gazette reported Jacobsen, 33, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, died from complications due to his injuries sustained during the helicopter crash, according to Cambria County coroner Dennis Kwiatkowski.

Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating the helicopter mishap.
