HALL GOES TO 'COURTROOM'

"The Game" co-star Pooch Hall has joined the Fox pilot "Courtroom K" in a guest-starring role. He will play Orangelo Tell, who is in jail for a drug deal but was framed by the cops, in the 20th Century Fox TV-produced project. Hall, who returns for the third season of the CW's "The Game" in the fall, is repped by Marni Rosenzweig at Abrams Artists Agency and attorney Jonathan Shikora.

HUGHLEY a HOST for BET

D.L. Hughley is set to host the BET Awards '08, which airs live June 24 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The show will feature performances from Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Kanye West and Young Jeezy as well as previously announced performers Usher, Lil Wayne and Nelly. Al Green will receive BET's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Cable network Great American Country and artist development company Music Nation said Tuesday that singer-songwriter-producers Desmond Child and Victoria Shaw will serve as judges on the upcoming series "The Next GAC Star," a country-singer talent search.
