MOORE IN 'JUNGLE'

Mary Tyler Moore will do a multiepisode guest arc on NBC's "Lipstick Jungle." She will play Joyce, a retired high-powered executive and mother of Brooke Shields' studio-head character Wendy. Having trail-blazed for working women, Joyce will challenge Wendy's idealistic notion of "having it all." Moore will debut in the Sept. 24 Season 2 premiere.

BIG BOW FOR 'TALENT'

Season 2 of NBC's "America's Got Talent" got off to a strong start Tuesday despite facing increased competition this year. "Talent" (12.8 million viewers, 3.7 rating/10 share in preliminary adults 18-49) is the highest-rated series premiere this summer and NBC's best-rated nonsports show since the May finale of "The Office." ABC won the night with the Boston Celtics defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in the deciding Game 6 of the NBA Finals (16.9 million, 6.9/20).

CHARISSE TRIBUTE SET

Turner Classic Movies will devote its June 27 primetime lineup to a three-film tribute to Cyd Charisse, who died Tuesday. The tribute will screen "Singin' in the Rain," "The Band Wagon" and "Silk Stockings."
