G4 SET TO BUST 'Balls'

G4 is ready to bring on the destruction in a new series titled "Human Wrecking Balls." The half-hour show, premiering in the fall, features brothers Craig and Paul Pumphrey, who demolish boats, cars, houses and bars among other things using only their bare hands. The series was developed by Base Prods., with John Brenkus, Mickey Stern and Rob Dorfmann serving as exec producers. Jason King is the producer-director.

COURIC ON WEB DUTY

Katie Couric will anchor a live, daily webcast for CBS News each day of the Democratic and Republican national conventions that will begin after the network's primetime coverage goes off the air. The webcasts will be distributed live on CBSNews.com and CNET.com as well as other places, including YouTube and Google. They will last at least 30 minutes and begin soon after 11 p.m. ET. The webcasts debut with the start of the DNC, set for Aug. 25-28 in Denver. They resume Sept. 1-4, in St. Paul, Minn., with the RNC.

FUGATE OUT OF 'ARMY'

"Army Wives" creator/ exec producer Katherine Fugate has departed the Lifetime drama series, produced by ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co. Her exit follows several behind-the-scenes changes since before the show premiered last year.
