DUO'S STORY TO ABC

Screenwriters Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith have sold a script to ABC Studios that treads some very familiar ground. Several months ago, Lutz and Smith's loopy champagne-and-therapy-fueled creative process came to light in an L.A. Times column written by THR's Jay A. Fernandez. Now, ABC Studios is developing a series around what it calls "their friendship, partnership and (mis)adventures in Hollywood."

CORSINI EXITS L.A. CBS gig

Don Corsini, president and GM of KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV, CBS' duopoly in Los Angeles, is stepping down from his post at year's end. He will be succeeded by Patrick McClenahan, who is being promoted from senior vp and station manager. There is no official word of where Corsini will land, though the news led to speculation that he might segue to a post at Tribune-owned KTLA Los Angeles. Corsini was unavailable for comment, and reps for Tribune and KTLA declined comment.
