Ticking toward '24'

The Season 7 debut of Fox's "24" will be a two-night, four-hour affair, airing on Sunday, Jan. 11, and Monday, Jan. 12, at 8 p.m. The network used a similar rollout plan for 2007's Season 6 premiere. Delayed because of the writers strike, January's premiere is the first new regular episode in nearly two years.

Starz bulks up

Starz Entertainment has acquired a slew of first-run and library titles from Summit, Lionsgate, Hallmark, IFC, the Samuel Goldwyn Co., First Look and Fremantle. Titles include "P2" from Summit, "Goya's Ghost" from Goldwyn, "After the Wedding" from IFC and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" from Hallmark.

Gains at RDF USA

RDF USA (ABC's "Wife Swap") is expanding its creative team, promoting Mike Duffy to senior vp development and current, Patrick Agans to director of digital media and Sara Hansemann to manager of development.

NATPE honors

Writer-producers Chuck Lorre and Tyler Perry, Disney's Anne Sweeney and NBC Universal's Ben Silverman will be honored with NATPE's sixth annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award on Jan. 26 during the NATPE 2009 Market & Conference in Las Vegas.
