Nickelodeon's first "iCarly" movie, "iGo to Japan," debuted with 7.6 million total viewers at 8 p.m. Saturday, while the new Nick series "True Jackson, VP" bowed at 9:30 p.m. with 4.8 million total viewers, setting a record for Nick's biggest audience for a live-action premiere. Also setting records was Style Network's "Ruby," which averaged 545,000 total viewers at 8 p.m. Sunday to become the network's most-watched original series debut ever.

Honor for Packer

Jim Packer, co-president of worldwide television at MGM, will receive the Executive of the Year Award from the Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors at the group's black-tie gala Dec. 7 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

CES in 'Jeopardy!'

Sony Pictures Television will shoot 10 "Tournament of Champions" episodes of "Jeopardy!" at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas. Sony will introduce the mobile game "Jeopardy Live!" at CES, which also will host a "Celebrity Jeopardy!" episode.

Current Media, the company co-founded by Al Gore, has eliminated about 60 positions while creating 30 new ones, many of which were filled by people from the eliminated positions. "These changes result from the development of a new, innovative programming strategy … slated to premiere in the first quarter," Current said.
