Debmar has 'Story' to SELL

Debmar-Mercury has acquired broadcast syndication rights to E! Entertainment Television's documentary series "True Hollywood Story." The distributor will offer select library episodes to TV stations as a one-hour daily strip to air as early as fall 2009.

Bravo has inked Kathy Griffin to a one-year deal that includes hosting duties for a second time at the A-List Awards, two comedy specials and, as previously announced, a fifth-season pickup of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."

Online marketing company PV Media Group has entered into a joint venture with Breaking News Network, securing as a domain name BreakingNews.com. PV Media upped James McDonald to lead the joint venture, which aims to create an online social news community.

FX promotion

Lance Reiss has been promoted to vp marketing at FX. He was director of marketing and advertising, working on marketing campaigns for "Damages," "The Shield," "Nip/Tuck" and "Sons of Anarchy."

Sci Fi FACTS

Sci Fi Channel and publisher-developer Trion World Network have made two hires in the co-development of a video game and TV show. Kevin Beardslee joins Trion to serve as senior development director, and Peter Egan has been tapped to write the pilot episode.
