'COUNTRY' COMES BACK

CMT is bringing its singing competition series "Gone Country" back for a third season. Celebrities competing for country music stardom this time around include musicians George Clinton and Sheila E., former Miss USA Tara Conner, singer Taylor Dayne, Monkees lead vocalist/drummer Micky Dolenz, Richard Grieco and "American Idol" first-season runner-up Justin Guarini. The third season of the series, which is in production in Nashville, premieres in January, with John Rich returning as host. "Gone Country" is executive produced by David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe of Renegade 83 Prods.

McCARTNEY HONORED

Paul McCartney will be honored with a one-off Ultimate Legend Award at the 15th MTV Europe Music Awards, which are being held Nov. 6 in Liverpool, England. The former Beatle is set to attend the show.

MORE 'SPLIT ENDS'

Style Network has renewed "Split Ends," from 44 Blue Prods, for a fourth season. It returns at 8 p.m. Nov. 22.

A&E GREENLIGHTS

A&E Network has greenlighted "Keyshawn Johnson: Tackling Design" and renewed "Sell This House" for a seventh season.
