TV Executive Josh Barry Joins Prospect Park as Partner
He will be responsible for developing and producing drama and comedy series.
Prospect Park has hired former ABC Entertainment Group executive Josh Barry as a partner in its TV group, it was announced Tuesday.
Barry will be responsible for developing and producing drama and comedy series, in addition to reality and non-fiction television projects for the company, headed by founder and CEO Jeff Kwatinetz with partner Rich Frank. Barry will report to Kwatinetz.
"Josh brings an exceptional pedigree to Prospect Park, and is the perfect fit for the company as we really focus on expanding our TV and content slate," said Kwatinetz in a release.
Barry previously worked at ABC Entertainment Group, where he worked for more than a decade in development as a network and studio executive. Recently, he was senior vp, head of drama development and current programming at ABC Studios. Barry developed Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy during his tenure and worked on shows like Alias and Lost. Body of Proof was the latest pilot that he played a pivotal role on. Prior to ABC, Barry was an employee at Steven Bochco Productions.
Prospect Park is behind the upcoming FX comedy Wilfred and has the half-hour comedy project Big in Japan in development at USA. The company is also readying the third season launch of USA series Royal Pains this summer. In addition, the company has Eden and Snatched over at TNT.
