TV Guide Network prez ankles for new job

Ryan O'Hara to take an unspecified New York post

TORONTO -- Lionsgate on Friday said TV Guide Network and TV Guide.com president Ryan O'Hara has left the house to take an unspecified New York post to be unveiled next week.

The move comes nine months after Vancouver-based Lionsgate and One Equity Partners picked up the TV Guide properties.

"Ryan and his management team have led TV Guide Network to a strong year of growth in both programming and distribution," Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said in a statement.

"He has been a key architect of the channel's continued evolution into a fully distributed, full screen general entertainment network that will play an important role in the cable landscape of the future," he added.

TV Guide Network board chairman Allen Shapiro in his own statement said O'Hara would be missed, but he and Feltheimer had "confidence in the team of talented and entrepreneurial executives who will continue to build on TVGN and TV Guide.com's momentum."

O'Hara's departure follows Diane Robina coming on board at TV Guide Network as executive vp of development, acquisition and programming strategy.
