'Ultimate Survival Alaska' Star Jimmy Gojdics Found Dead, Multiple Gunshot Wounds
The 69-year-old was found in his home in Fox, Alaska, over the weekend.
Jimmy Gojdics was found dead his home in Fox, Alaska, this weekend with multiple gunshot wounds, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a shooting at 3:06 p.m. Sunday and found Gojdics suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Gojdics, 69, appeared on the National Geographic Channel's Ultimate Survival Alaska. He sometimes spelled his last name as it is pronounced, "Gaydos."
The death is being investigated as a homicide. Gojdics' body will undergo an autopsy at the state medical examiner's office.
"We were saddened to learn of Mr. Gaydos' untimely passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time," National Geographic Channel spokesman Chad Sandhas told the Associated Press.
