Ultra Music Festival Expands to 2 Weekends
Last year's Miami gathering featured headlining performances by David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade and then-newcomer Avicii, who was joined by Madonna in a surprise appearance.
For the Ultra Music Festival, one weekend just wasn't enough. Organizers announced on Monday that the massive Electronic Dance Music event will be taking over Miami's Bayfront Park for two weekends in March.
The prolonged party begins March 15-17 and after a four-day break, revs up again on March 22 - 24. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 17 on the festival's website. Featured artists will be announced at a later date.

Ultra is the centerpiece of Miami Music Week and this edition marks the festival's 15-year anniversary.
Last year's festival featured headlining performances from EDM heavyweights David Guetta, Armin van Buuren and Kaskade, but the biggest moment came courtesy of Madonna, who made a surprise appearance with then-newcomer Avicii (see photo above).
"Electronic dance music has been a part of my life since the beginning of my career," she told the crowd, adding, "I can honestly say a DJ saved my life."
