'Unbroken' Trailer: First Look at Angelina Jolie's World War II Drama (Video)

The film, directed by Jolie, is set for release Dec. 25, 2014.

The first trailer for Angelina Jolie's World War II drama Unbroken strikes a rousing tone as it introduces the true story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who survived time in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp.

The trailer shows Zamperini's childhood, training as an Olympic runner and aerial fights onboard a U.S. Air Force bomber above the Pacific. It also covers his plane's crash into the ocean and subsequent imprisonment at the hands of the Japanese military.
