Universal taps Pam Postrel
Returns to studio after six yearsPam Postrel has taken the post of senior vp creative services at Universal Pictures.
Postrel returns to the studio after a six-year stint at Craig Murray Prods., where she was vp and creative director of animation.
At Universal, Postrel will oversee all in-house creative audio-visual projects assigned by marketing executives within Universal's motion pictures group. She will cover a crew of 27 to direct the creation of trailers, TV spots, sales reels and ancillary materials for UMPG's theatrical, home entertainment, PPV, specialty and ancillary marketing for domestic and international projects.
She reports to worldwide creative operations group exec vp Dan Wolfe.
At Craig Murray, Postrel oversaw A/V advertising for Disney/Pixar animation including "WALL-E," "Ratatouille," "The Incredibles" and "Cars" and for other projects like "Maid in Manhattan" and "Sweet Home Alabama."
She began her career as a producer at Bloomfilm before joining Universal in 1993.
