Universal video unit promotes execs

Three veterans upped; another moved to HD operations

Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced four vp appointments Tuesday, promoting three marketing veterans and moving another exec into a strategic role in HD operations.

Those promoted were Jeffrey Ackermann, to vp TV and catalog marketing; Sandy Choi, to vp new-release brand marketing; and Paige Lewis, to vp family marketing.

They will continue to report to Hilary Hoffman, senior vp brand and digital marketing. Hoffman also announced that London-based international home-entertainment exec Robert Read will assume a new role as vp high-def strategic marketing and franchise management.

"We have a bold, creative and collaborative executive team in place to lead our marketing efforts into the future," Hoffman said.
