Univision Novela 'Eva Luna' Draws 6.9 Million Viewers to Finale

Monday's telecast boosted the Spanish-language network to a No. 3 ranking in the adults 18-49 demo among all broadcasters for the night.

Univision's Eva Luna ended its run on a high note.

The show, produced by Venevision Productions and Univision Studios, averaged a series-high 6.9 million total viewers in its two-hour finale Monday night.

Eva Luna, which aired from 8-10 p.m., also grew every half-hour, peaking in the final half-hour with 7.5 million viewers.

In the key demos, the wedding-themed telecast averaged 3.5 million adults 18-49 and 1.9 million adults 18-34.

Eva Luna, along with a special episode of Don Francisco Presenta (4.4 million total viewers, 2.3 million adults 18-49), also boosted Univision to a third-place finish among all broadcast networks for the night in the 18-49 demo, behind ABC and Fox.

The Spanish-language broadcaster also touted the fact that Eva Luna drew more viewers in the 18-49 demo than such shows as CBS' How I Met Your Mother, NBC's Chuck and Fox's The Chicago Code.

Monday's episode also stands as one of Univision's top 10 novela finales ever.
