U.S. Music Sales Down Just 1.3% In First Quarter

Nielsen SoundScan cites surge in sales during six of the last seven weeks of the quarter. Among the hot sellers: Adele's '21,' Cee-Lo's "F--- You" and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."

Total U.S. music sales slipped just 1.3% in the first quarter from the same period a year earlier, thanks to a surge in sales during six of the last seven weeks of the quarter.
