Tim DeKay has been tapped to star opposite Matthew Bomer in USA Network's pilot "White Collar." The casting of the two leads lifts the cast-contingency.

In other pilot castings, Gina Torres, Brett Davern, Scott Cohen, Sammi Hanratty and Jen Drohan have joined Lifetime's drama "The Amazing Mrs. Novak."

Bronwen Hughes will direct "Collar," from Fox TV Studios. The project centers on a brilliant con artist (Bomer) who against his will partners with the head of the FBI's white-collar crime unit (DeKay).

USA executive vp original programming Jackie de Crinis said the two stars "have incredible range in terms of comedy and drama."

"Novak," from Warner Horizon/Kudos, centers on Trish (Amy Pietz), a supermarket manager who becomes the governor of New Jersey. Davern and Hanratty will play Trish's kids, Cohen her campaign manager, Torres her running mate for lieutenant governor and Drohan an heiress who funds her campaign.

Davern is repped by APA and Alchemy; Hanratty by WMA and Go Talent. (partialdiff)
