Usual numbers greet 'Unusuals' suspects
EmptyABC fired its last shell of the season Wednesday with the series premiere of "The Unusuals," a police dramedy that received typical numbers in line with the network's other midseason efforts.
"Unusuals" (6.8 million viewers, 2.1 rating in adults 18-49) was ABC's lowest-rated drama-series premiere of the season, losing 45% of its lead-in from "Lost" (8.6 million, 3.8).
That opener followed in the footsteps of several other lighthearted new ABC shows, including "Cupid," "Better Off Ted," "Scrubs" and "In the Motherhood." The network's other investigative dramedy, "Castle," has shown the most ratings spark, demonstrating sturdiness on Monday nights.
ABC did note that "Unusuals" improved significantly on "Life on Mars" in its 10 p.m. Wednesday slot. (partialdiff)
