DEATHS

Preston Davis, a pioneering television executive who served as president of broadcast operations and engineering at ABC before retiring in 2011, died April 15 after an undisclosed illness. He was 63.

Michael France, who wrote the story for GoldenEye and the screenplay for Hulk, died April 12 after a long illness. He was 51.

TCM's Classic Film Festival

Turner Classic Movies' TCM Classic Film Festival runs April 25 to 28 in Hollywood. Funny Girl (1968) opens it, and Jane Fonda will be immortalized with a hand-and-footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
