Uwe Schlindwein Named Head of UFA Entertainment/International
Schlidwein produced hit formats including “I’m A Celebrity – Get me Out of Here!” for the German market.
COLOGNE, Germany – Veteran formats producer Uwe Schlindwein has moved from Granada’s German operations to competitor UFA Entertainment, taking up the new position as director of UFA Entertainment/International.
In his new job, Schlindwein will oversee UFA Entertainment’s operations – the company produces such light entertainment shows as Farmer Wants a Wife in Germany - as well as coordinating the production of international versions of UFA formats. He will report to Ute Biernat, managing director of UFA Entertainment and its sister company Grundy Light Entertainment.
UFA is a subsidiary of production giant FremantleMedia, which itself is controlled by German conglomerate Bertelsmann.
