Uzo Aduba accepts the award for outstanding actress in a drama

Crazy Eyes’ eye makeup didn’t even run when she cried during her emotional acceptance speech.

The 67th Emmy Awards were big for Orange Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba, whose second supporting actress win understandably had her super emotional and teary-eyed. But despite the evening’s heat and her tears, the makeup applied by Janice Kinjo didn’t budge.

While she rocked subtle smoky eyes and flawless skin, it was the actress’ bold brows and peachy lips that were the perfect foil to her vibrant, hand-painted Jonathan Cohen gown. Hair and makeup were inspired by Grace Kelly to complement the elegant dress, according to Kinjo, who says she “created a makeup look that embodied the epitome of classic beauty.”

To give her perfect arches, the celebrity makeup artist filled them in with the two shades and wax in SheaMoisture The Perfect Brow Kit in Brown. She also applied SheaMoisture Color Correcting, Contouring and Highlighting Palette in Medium to further define her bold and beautiful brows.

As for her ultra-feminine pout, Kinjo didn't match it to the pink in her gown, but instead used a flattering subtle shade in the same warm color family. To get the lip color to stand out, “I first primed her lips with a bit of foundation for a truly nude matte base, then the ultra-moisturizing and natural nude SheaMoisture Lip Crayon in Calixta was applied to the lips as the finishing touch to this classic, effortless beauty look.”
