Verizon's Go90 Renews '[email protected]' for a Second Season (Exclusive)
The AwesomenessTV series has added Emma Dumont, Braeden Lemasters, Noah Centineo and Rajiv Dhall.
Verizon's go90 streaming app has handed out a second- season renewal to psychological thriller [email protected].
The series follows three teenage girls — Hailey (Lia Marie Johnson), Rowan (Lulu Antariksa) and Elisia (Katelyn Nacon) — who become connected after a series of violent videos are sent to them by an unknown person. Season two picks up with the girls trying to put their lives back together, but when a new threat emerges they have to set aside their differences to survive.
The forthcoming season will introduce several new characters. Joining the existing cast, which includes online star JC Caylen, are Emma Dumont (Aquarius), Braeden Lemasters (11.22.63), Noah Centineo (The Fosters) and Rajiv Dhall (Fuller House).
"AwesomenessTV continues to deliver on the most-viewed original scripted dramas on go90, first with Guidance and now [email protected]," said go90 content chief Ivana Kirkbride. "We are excited about the new additions to an already super talented ensemble and we can't wait to see what's next for Hailey, Rowan and Elisia."
[email protected] hails from digital firm AwesomenessTV. It was created and directed by Hannah Macpherson, executive produced by Brian Robbins, Shauna Phelan and Macpherson, and produced by Jina Jones.
Verizon launched go90 last year by spending big for exclusive digital programs. But while the company says it has more than 250 hours of original series on the app, executives have been candid that viewership needed to improve. No ratings for go90 have been released, but Verizon says that [email protected] is the "fastest growing" show on the app.
"Reaching Gen Z in today's evolving landscape of content consumption can be challenging but [email protected] has proven that with strong narratives, a talented cast and a partner like go90, a series can not only find an audience, but be the beginning of a successful franchise," said Robbins.
Dumont is repped by APA and Untitled Entertainment; Lemasters is repped by APA and Marni Cooper Management; Centineo is repped by APA, Generate and Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox & Light; and Dhall is repped by UTA.
