Vertice 360 signs deal with Banderas company
Co-production alliance allows big-budget int'l feature filmsMADRID -- Spanish content powerhouse Vertice 360 has signed a three-year co-production alliance with Antonio Banderas' production house Green Moon Spain to create big-budget international feature films.
The move fits into publicly traded Vertice's strategy to increase its international presence and comes a month after the group announced the creation of Vertice Sales.
"It is one more step in Vertice 360's strategic international development," said the group's CEO Saul Ruiz de Marcos, "that will allow us to take advantage of our competitive edge by putting all the group's resources and services at the disposal of production."
A Vertice spokesman could give no details about the projects other than that they are in development and will have budgets "far above standard Spanish productions and are in keeping with an international independent film."
The deal calls for Vertice's production and post-production services to be used for the feature projects that will later be distributed exclusively by Vertice Cine and sold internationally by Vertice Sales.
The deal also outlines the collaboration of Band of Brother's scriptwriter Erik Jendresen for the screenplays.
