'Archer'

Seasons 1-5 of the animated spy comedy will add more laughs to the network's schedule beyond 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and 'Nirvanna The Band The Show.'

Vice Media's Viceland channel in the U.K. has acquired the exclusive U.K. TV rights for seasons 1-5 of hit animated spy comedy Archer.

The show will air on weeknights fat 11 p.m., launching on May 1.

It is the latest comedy addition to the Viceland U.K. schedule, following the launches of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and original series Nirvanna The Band The Show.

Archer, created by Adam Reed for FX and distributed by Endemol Shine International, in the U.S. moved to FXX for its recently launched season eight.

The series revolves around Sterling Archer and his spy agency "International Secret Intelligence Service." Every covert operation and global crisis sees its staff undermine, sabotage and betray each other for personal gain and pleasure.

The show features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as Archer, Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Jessica Walter as Archer’s domineering mother and CEO, Judy Greer as her loquacious secretary Cheryl, Chris Parnell as the easily intimidated comptroller Cyril Figgis, Amber Nash as the discordant director of human resources Pam Poovey and George Coe as Archer’s elderly and always exploited butler Woodhouse.
