Victoria Tennant's Bel Air Home Hits the Market for $7 Million
The British actress lists her Kathryn Ireland-designed house.
English film and television actress Victoria Tennant has listed her Bel Air home for $6.995 million. Tennant, who was married to Steve Martin from 1986 to 1994, and who is known for her roles in L.A. Story and TV miniseries The Winds of War, has owned the traditional-style home for 16 years.
Located down the road from the Hotel Bel-Air, the two-story, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom house is gated and set on almost 3/4 acre. With a formal dining room, library, living room and swimming pool, the house was decorated by Kathryn Ireland, the L.A.-based English designer known for her British country-influenced interiors with a Southern California twist. Ireland, whose clients include David Mamet, Drew Barrymore, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Steve Martin, previously starred on Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators. The property also includes covered patio areas, a private garden behind the home, and original architectural details throughout.
“This feels like an English home transplanted to Bel Air,” says Hilton & Hyland agent Juliette Hohnen, a former British actress herself who is the listing agent for Tennant. “It’s an extremely private home, and is perfect for people who want that Hotel Bel-Air feeling, but with an entire home of their own,” says Hohnen, whose clients have included Kimora Lee Simmons, Julian Lennon and Emily Mortimer.
