'Are You Here' Trailer: Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis Are Childhood Pals (Video)
Amy Poehler co-stars in the dramedy from "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner.
Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis play estranged childhood friends who embark on a journey back to their hometown in the upcoming dramedy Are You Here. In the process, Galifianakis gets naked a lot.
Steve (Wilson) is a pervy weatherman who reconnects with bipolar Ben (Galifianakis) after Ben's dad dies. They soon learn that Ben has inherited the family fortune, much to the chagrin of Ben's high-strung sister, Terry (Amy Poehler).
Steve and Ben's friendship is put to the test when Steve falls for Ben's father's young widow. "That's the thing about friendship -- it's a lot rarer than love because there's nothing in it for anybody," Steve opines.
Jenna Fischer, Edward Herrmann, Melissa Rauch (The Big Bang Theory) and Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black) co-star. Wilson hasn't been seen on-screen since 2013's underperforming comedy The Internship.
Are You Here was written and directed by Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, marking his cinematic directorial debut. Weiner is best known for his dramatic writing -- including his work as a writer on The Sopranos -- but he got his start as a sitcom writer on Becker and The Naked Truth.
The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, where it went by the slightly different name You Are Here. Perhaps the name change is an effort to distinguish it from the similarly titled Wish I Was Here, the Zach Braff dramedy that hits theaters in July.
Millennium Entertainment releases Are You Here Aug. 22 in theaters and on-demand.
