The New York City-set fest also shared advice for filmmakers from director Ron Howard.
The 14th annual Tribeca Film Festival will be held April 15-26, 2015, in New York City, the festival organizers announced Tuesday.
Tribeca's programming team — featuring newly promoted festival director Genna Terranova and senior programmer Cara Cusumano, also announced Tuesday — additionally announced a call for submissions for narrative and documentary features, short films and transmedia projects.
The Tribeca Film Festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in 2001 following the attacks on the World Trade Center. Once again presented by AT&T, the 2015 festival will hosts screenings of feature-length and short films, curated conversations and master classes, and feature Storyscapes, Tribeca’s transmedia section, in collaboration with Bombay Sapphire gin, the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, and the second edition of Tribeca Innovation Week.
Submission rules and regulations and complete information regarding eligibility for the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival will be available online.
The announcement arrived alongside advice for filmmakers from Ron Howard, who was featured at the 2014 festival as a special speaker. Watch it below.
